Laura Curry

Laura Curry, CPA

Managing Member

Laura Curry has over 35 years of public accounting experience, over 25 years as a business owner, and is knowledgeable in all aspects of public accounting. Laura performs the final review of all tax returns and other filings before submission to taxing authorities. She can assist with complex tax planning and small business start-up. Laura holds a BS Accounting degree from UNC-Greensboro. She established the UNC-G Laura Ann Curry Accounting Scholarship in 2004, and has been a member of various Non-Profit Boards in NC in the past and present. Laura enjoys sports and recreation, as well as spending time with her daughters.

Wayne Curry is a semi-retired CPA with 50+ years of Public Accounting experience. He has worked in all facets of Accounting since graduating from college in 1964. Wayne is an excellent tax resource, specializing in complex issues.

Gail Curry, CPA

Tax Manager

Gail has over 40 years of public accounting experience and is knowledgeable in all aspects of public accounting. She specializes in partnership and corporation tax returns and can also prepare individual, estate and trust returns. Gail holds a BS from UNC-Chapel Hill, as well as a MAT from UNC-Greensboro. She established the Gail Curry Scholarship in Education at UNC-G.

Kay Freiberg

Kay Freiberg, CPA

Senior Staff Accountant

Kay joined Curry CPA, PLLC in January 2010. She is a CPA licensed in North Carolina. She has worked in the accounting field since 1986 and has experience with multiple types of small businesses. She primarily works with business entities. Kay holds a UNC-G and BS in Mathematics from Guilford College and Completion of Courses to Sit for CPA. In her personal life, Kay enjoys spending time with her granddaughters and quilting.

Ernie Snider

Senior Staff Accountant

Ernie joined Curry CPA PLLC in 2010. He holds a BS in Accounting from UNC – Greensboro, as well as a BS in Industrial Relations from UNC – Chapel Hill. Ernie specializes in individual tax return preparation and tax planning, estate and trust return preparation, business property tax listings, and 1099 preparation.

Gabby Tesauro

Staff Accountant

Gabby joined the firm in 2019 as a part-time Payroll Administrator and Bookkeeper. She is now a full time Staff Accountant-In-Training, while continuing as a payroll administrator and bookkeeper. Gabby is training to complete business and individual tax returns. She holds a BS degree from University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth.
